This ties in with my theory that the Bush team has done so many
maladroit things, especially in regard to Iraq, --- they are not incompetent. They are doing it on purpose to serve the Saudi Royal family or their multi-national corporate masters, or both, or some other agenda. But they care nothing for the welfare of this country. The sociopath Bush is their perfect tool. That sounds crazy, but if you read "Cobra II" which is in the stores now, you will see related that it was agreed pre-war by all NOT to disband the Iraqi army, because it was a no-brainer not to put 300,000 military age men out of work, having just beheaded the regime. But it was done any way. Walt |

Can you tell me : where you read in the book that "it was agreed pre-war by ALL NOT to disband the army"? I read no such thing. Who are the people you refer to as ALL? |

Can you tell me : where you read in the book that "it was agreed pre-war by ALL NOT to disband the army"? I read no such thing. Who are the people you refer to as ALL? "In line with the recommendations from CENTCOM and Garner to use Iraqi forces, Feith presented a plan to "reshape the Iraqi military." Feith said that three to five Iraqi divsions would for the nucleus of the new military. The force need to be apolitical and representative of Iraq's ethnic composition, and the Kurdish Peshmerga militia might be an element of the new militia....The White House was outlining its principles for governing Iraq only days before the war. The plan approved by the president heavily relied on existing Iraqi police and military forces to guarantee security post-Saddam. There was no discussion of a fallback plan." - "Cobra II" pp. 161-62 by Muichael R. Gordon and General Bernard E. Trainor. So that is CENTCOM, the White House and the DOD (Feith) who agreed to keep the Iraqi army on payroll. There is something -really- fishy about the dsbanding of the Iraqi army. It is hard to imagine that whoever signed off on it had the best interests of the United States at heart. I sincerely believe that George Bush's handlers do not. Bush, being a sciopath, doesn't care one way or the other. That's why he didn't even inquire about the situation in New Orleans for days after Hurrcane Katrina hit. Walt |
