To those who fly with STCs for motor fuel instead of avgas, is the phase-out of MTBE affecting you? Well, I don't know yet. I moved to North Carolina last fall, and I've been trying to find information about alcohol contents. I'd love to get the auto fuel STC for my Skylane, but I've not been able to find a website, either by the NC DOT or whomever, indicating whether or not mogas has alcohol in NC. So far, the pumps I've been at don't indicate alcohol contents, but I don't know if it's required or not. Does anyone know of a comprehensive site that lists, state by state, alcohol content status on mogas? I know about the interactive map posted elsewhere on this thread, showing airports with mogas (very useful, but not exactly what I'm looking for). Cheers, -jav |
