Some time ago I've heard the whole SH-60B/MH-60R squadrons (now called
HSL, to be redesignated to HSM in future) are to be integrated into Carrier Air Wings. First, we had some examples of it within HSL-47 in CVW-2 and HSL-51 in CVW-5. But the idea is to embark ENTIRE squadrons (not only detachments of them). Could anyone tell me what is the number of aircraft per HSL??? Somewhere I've seen the number of 11 MH-60R/MH-60S in CVW - including the mix of the MH-60R and S for the carrier, and MH-60R squadron for the "small boys". But it looks strange for me... Why not 10 or 12 ??? Best regards, Jacek |
