Good evening everyone
I though everyone would be interested in knowing that the AVMap EKP-IV gps unit now works perfectly with the TruTrak autopilot systems. I purchased a IV last year at Oshkosh thinking it would work with my TruTrak but later found out it did not work satisfactorily - too slow of a response time and the unit would hunt constantly. After much pressure from me and others AvMap has changed the internal GPS engine in the IV and the slow response time dissapeared. Tell anyone you may know not to be afraid of the IV and have them confirm with TruTrak. With their large screen and beautiful color it's perfect for VFR flying with an extremely reasonable price and easily converted for panel mounting. I'm in no way connected with AVMap but just a happy customer. Ron B |
