David Clark H10 13XL or Lightspeed 30 3G?
Pros/Cons?

Thanks

Tony

As a former owner of two Lightspeed headsets, I would speculate that you
would have less post-sale quality problems with the DCs.

Both of my Lightspeeds, including a pair of the 30 3Gs, collectively spent
weeks away from their primary purpose in the airplane, due either to being
in transit to/from LS for repairs or being down due to a loss of
functionality.

To be fair, this happened three years ago, so perhaps things have changed.

I have a pair of Lightspeeds on it's way back from LS this very minute. One
of the cell phone/ music audio control boxes that I had installed was either
installed improperly or was defective. It will be fixed at no charge, but
I've been without this headset for over 2 weeks.

I've also had both of my Lightspeeds repaired prior to this, the stirrups on
each of them broke in cold weather.

Despite the required repairs, I think they have models that balance feature
with price and I'd buy again.

Tony...I use the Lightspeed 15XL and like it. It has, however, been in
for repairs once. It took them a few days to repair the "stirrup" and
get it back to me. With you being in Canada, the service turnaround may
not be that quick. I've used David Clarks' and found them to be
somewhat uncomfortable, but your results may vary.

Thanks to Peter, Jim and Al for the comments.
I borrowed a pair of H10 13XL and liked them. I have arranged to borrow
some Lightspeeds next weekend, and also spoke to a local dealer who told
me that if I order the new DC X-11's when they are available, and don't
like them, I can return them. So I guess I'll try the Lightspeeds, and
also wait to try the X-11's before choosing.

Thanks

Tony
