Awlgrip, Polyurethanes or Epoxies? Awlgrip is great stuff to spray, and, I found that you can even apply it by brush and it looks like it was sprayed. On the other hand, as you might know, it's really toxic - you NEED oustide air, not a filter mask. Costs an arm and a leg, and the over spray stays sticky for a long time so it has to be contained - don't spray in the garage with the door open or whatever. Great Stuff. -- Geoff The Sea Hawk at Wow Way d0t Com remove spaces and make the obvious substitutions to reply by mail When immigration is outlawed, only outlaws will immigrate. |

Travis,
I had a really old Mooney that was finished with Awlgrip that looked tired when we bought it. I was thinking of having it refinished but a mechanic friend said I should try polishing it out before I spent the money on the Mooney. 25 year old paint...... three days of careful polishing (a few raised rivet heads you know) and it looked nearly new. I am pretty sure Imron can't be polished out that way and I'll bet the auto finishes won't lastas long. Besides you can patch the Awlgrip. Cheers!, Pete PS. "Arrest Me Red" Bill? On the Nimbus? P.
