Has anyone eaten at the Runway Cafe at South Jersey Regional Airport?
If so, please let me know your opinion, as I'll be flying in there this weekend. I appreciate any help you all can give. AJH |

AJH Disclaimer: I haven't eaten at either of these, but...... A friend of mine brings his wife to Flying W quite often. They have a really nice layout on the weekends. Both are close together so if you don't like one you can go hit the other. HTH. z |

G I flew right by it the first time I visited, as did the aircraft ahead of me and behind me. Flying W is very "Poconoish"... Like stepping back in time. |

AJH Actually, both South Jersey and Flying W offer good food at surprising good prices. I have flown into both. South Jersey also offers a very nice aviation museum, if that is your thing. Flying W does have an onsight motel with the only outdoor swimming pool designed in the shape of an airplane (Jay Honeck should check this place out). Both FBO's are clean and have all the amenities. Since those two airports are quite close together, be certain to check for the proper patterns to fly on approach. Sorry, I can't recommend either one over the other... both are good facilites. |

One afterthought to me own post: I believe you said you planned to fly there this weekend. Mother Nature's wrath may negate your flying into either of those airports this weekend. Take a look at the current TAF's and you'll see what I mean. |

Just ate there for the first time last weekend after flying with client. Only had a hamburger, but it was good. Keep in mind, though, that this is literally a small cafe. If you're looking for a "restaurant" to entertain, best go to Flying W. Much larger menu, and the food is better in general. -Doug -------------------- Doug Vetter, ATP/CFI http://www.dvatp.com -------------------- |

AJH Flying W is right down the road from me and has great food. I can only speak for their Sunday brunch, though, but that was excellent. -- Mike |
