Here is another photo of that aircraft. Its the same plane in the other
photos you posted. this plane crashed into the Hawaiian Coast Artillery ordnance shop at Ft Kamehameha killing several men, one of which was Pvt. Edward F. Sullivan. C Battery 55th Coast Artillery. Thanks John. I have reposted the photo for those w/o PS or elements. Jim Morris |

Jim Morris Thanks, I have been checking into this for a long time, I found the pictures of Sullivan in my Dad's service album with the note on it. "Sullivan Dec 7th plane crash" then more pictures. I had checked the list of those killed during the attack and found his name and unit. then checked with some authors that had researched the attack and had access to other records.including the details of his burial Found some records and photos of thier training in New York before going to Hawaii., then little progress, then my son found an older book that had interviews with some of the surviors and it detailed his being killed by the plane that crashed into the street then into the ordnance shop. then you came up with those pictures, I checked the Air Force website and found that photo, its all coming to-gether. takes time to document this all...like a jigsaw puzzle. |
