I am planning a trip to Ridge Soaring Glider Port in the fall. After
reading about a recent landout there with injuries, I decided to get serious about my land out survival kit. I had build one up over the years and thought it pretty good but with suggestions from others I went on the hunt for items to add while attempting to keep it small. I broke the kit into two bags, one for local flying in the "Wilds" of the Midwest and another for flying in more rugged areas such as out West. Please see http://geocities.com/jhderosa/aviation/survival for pictures, lots of links, several lists, my commentary, etc, concerning my ever changing survival and landout kit. I am very interested in any ideas you might have for changes, additions or just plain old comments. Thanks, John "Landout" DeRosa http://geocities.com/jhderosa |
