Default HELLO..

First thing, don't type all capital letters. It is considered shouting, and
shows rude form.

Second, sit back, and read for a while, and see how everyone interacts. It
will help to keep you from making a fool of yourself.

Third, be humble. There are a lot of very knowlegable people in this group,
and if you come off as a know-it-all, you will not last very long, before
being called on the carpet.

I hpe you do have some to offer the group, but I can't emphasize enough,
that you read for a while, and see how everyone interacts. It will help you
out in the long run.

What do you have to offer? Are you a pilot? What ratings? Do you own a
plane, or rent? What do you fly, and what have you flown?

Do you have any other special interests, or hobbies? Tell us a little about
yourself.

one doesn't simply join a usenet group.

Also, listen to what Morgans wrote, especially the bit about humbling
yourself to more knowledgeable people. If someone with a lot of years
behind the, says something, it is right. Even if it may seem like they
just made it up, don't bother arguing. Arguing with someone more
knowledgeable makes you a know-it-all, which aren't welcome here.

Also, there is this guy named mxsmanic who you should just ignore. If
he says something that you think sounds reasonable, you better change
the way you think because the more knowledgeable people have deemed
him unworthy. Which goes back to the know-it-all thing...

I hope you are not serious. Apart from the absurdity of accepting the
correctness of something simply based on who it came from, there is no real
way of knowing on Usenet exactly what knowledge people have, or what their
motives are for offering that knowledge. This does not mean by the way that
I dont have respect for knowledgeable people I believe and respect a lot of
what Dudley H says because he has convinced me with cleary explained logic,
not simply because he is an aviation legend ( and I expect he wouldnt accept
anything less) . In short, dont accept anything as absolute unless, or
until you understand it. And if undestanding it requires you to question it
then that is what you should do.

I think he's just a bit put out that people have been having a go at some of
his posts recently...
