The pilot of an RAF jet ejected from his plane as it crashed into a field
near Pickering, North Yorkshire, the Ministry of Defence has said.

The sole occupant of the Hawk training aircraft was airlifted to
Scarborough General Hospital with injuries which are not throught to be
critical.

Police said the plane crashed in a field near Sinnington and Pickering.
