Been following several threads here in rec.av.mil and rec.av.mil.naval
on technology issues. Thanks to all those keeping the signal to noise ratio in a correct balance. Just finished reading Avionics Navaigation Systems by Myron Kayton & Walter Freid. I'd recommend it to anyone who want to know the nuts and bolts of how the diferent systems work. Be ready to do derivitive calculus. (I hadn't realized how much I had forgotten). Got the book as a response to the questions posed here by the contributors. BTW - According to this text, pitot tubes measure the dynamic pressure and have nothing to do with the type of engine installed. MAH |
