Stewart Kissel, long-time Colorado pilot, towed
in his Ventus from Salida on Friday and failed to return as planned. Wreckage on Methodist Peak, just south of town, was spotted late Saturday afternoon and a ground search team reached the site Saturday night. He did not survive. Stu was an excellent pilot, helped make the operation at Salida work. It was an honor flying with someone of that caliber, and he will be greatly missed.
