Now, looking at the pic there of the A380, I have one question:

Assuming those doors on the upper deck are meant for emergency evac,
aren't you risking several nasty injuries actually *using* those
doors?

I'd imagine they'll do the same as any other large aircraft and fit
inflatable escape slides .

That's a huge piece of CFRP they're cooking! Reminds me of the
programme on Boeing's JSF prototype - they had a hell of a time trying
to made a single piece upper wing skin in CFRP without getting any
defects (bubbles in the surface IIRC) - I wonder how the Airbus wing
box overcomes it?

Can't wait to see this thing fly!
