Iowa Region Soaring Seminar and Banquet 2008

Friends,

Here is the preliminary info on this years Iowa Region Soaring Seminar
and Banquet. It will be held in Cedar Rapids this year, a location
which is an easy drive from Minneapolis and Chicago. In years past we
have enjoyed attendance from many surrounding states and hope to boost
that even further this year! Please send you checks early (and
often!) so we know you are coming. Thanks!

2008 Iowa Region Soaring Seminar and Banquet

Saturday March 1, 2008 in Cedar Rapids, IA

Please make plans to attend the annual Iowa Region Soaring Seminar and
Banquet. It will take place March 1, 2008 at the Clarion Hotel in
Cedar Rapids, IA starting at 11:30 AM. We are looking at an exciting
lineup of speakers for the afternoon seminar.

Many presentations are in the works, and we look forward to having a
full bill of exciting and interesting soaring topics for the
afternoon. They cast of speakers is still not completed, however, so
if you have any ideas for presenters please contact us.

Cold Sandwiches, Snacks, Coffee, and Water will be served at noon for
the seminar. At the conclusion of the seminar, we will begin the
banquet, conveniently served at the hotel and ordered off the menu.
Stories will be told, awards will be given, and we look forward to
activity reports from pilots around the region.

Be sure to contact the Clarion Hotel and reserve your room today.
Mention that you are part of the Glider Pilot Convention for a
discounted room. Rates are $82 a night. Reservations must be made
before February 16 to get the discount.

Cost for the seminar is set at $25 a person. Advance payment to hold
your place is required. Please send your checks as soon as possible,
made out to Tom Burns. We look forward to seeing everyone from around
the area in March!
