Got a note from Martin today telling me that he left flowers on the plaque
dedicated to the men of the 344th Bomb Group who flew out of Stanstead in WW II. I thanked him personally but want to thank him publicly as well. It means a great deal to all of us who flew out of Stansted over occupied Europe. All who served with the 344th thank you and it is an important tribute to those who can no longer thank you. I thank you for all of them. Let us never forget absent friends.
