Globemaster IIIs of No 99 Squadron from RAF Brize Norton came in
Afghanistan in 2002. Each mission was staged from Bahrain to
Kabul and Bagram to ferry in essential supplies. Here ZZ172 is
on the ramp at Kabul airport, 5800ft above sea-level with 20000ft
plus mountains in the vicinity
