Hi,

I talked to Leo Benetti-Longhini tonight and he told me that Bill Elliott
and the JS-1 won the contest!

Congratulations to Bill and the Jonker Sailplanes team!

#1 Bill Elliot JS1 #2 Roy McMasters ! #3 Doug Jacobs DJ #4
Cory Sullivan MD.

We had a ridge/thermal task. Rain in one area slowed down the front
group. Landouts by some caused a shake up on the score sheet. TAT of
one hour. Task lenght 230 plus miles, Potomac # 28, Mifflintown #5 and
Warners Gap # 29. All had a small radius, winds were 25 plus kts from
290/300 degrees. making the last leg into the wind across the ridges.
Some of the landouts were DJ, 00, UH, P7, KS and several others. We
got in 5 days out of 10,

Thermal tight Soar high, Fly safe # 711 reporting.

Bill Elliot flew masterfully, did a great job showing off the JS1 and
the ILEC SN10 ;-)
Wild last day.
