I noticed in last Wednesdays Washington Post, in the Metro section they had a picture of the New Executive Office Building and showed a permanent installation of anti-aircraft missiles. (I could not find the picture in the online version of the Post.) Anyone know what kind? They appeared bigger than ones that were on top of the Hummers parked down near the Pentagon for the last year or two. At the bottom of the page: www.krtdirect.com/ calendar/sept11_promo.htm?s=krtsept11+OR+krtterror It is an Avenger pedestal mount, just like those you saw on the HMMWV's earlier. Brooks |

It's defintely an Avenger, the same mount that was around the Pentagon. The difference is probably just that this one isn't mounted on a honking big truck, which changes the scale a bit. -- Tom Schoene Replace "invalid" with "net" to e-mail "If brave men and women never died, there would be nothing special about bravery." -- Andy Rooney (attributed) |
