A Kalitta Air (Ypsilanti) Boeing 747 has crashed near Mosquera, Colombia,
about 20 miles from Bogota. Reports indicate that the cargo airliner, which was operating for Miami-based Centurion Air Cargo, suffered some sort of problem and crashed into a field, impacting a house and killing the 15 and 52 year old occupants of the home. All 8 crewmembers aboard the aircraft were rescued, and are receiving medical care in the local hospital in Santa Matilde de Madrid. -- IN LIFE`S JOURNEY IT IS NOT ABOUT GOING TO THE GRAVE IN A WELL PRESERVED BODY , BUT SLIDING IN SIDEWAYS IN A TOTALLY WORN OUT BODY SAYING HOLY **** WHAT A RIDE!!!!!! Aviation is proof, that given the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible." - Captain Edward Rickenbacker |
