Anyone know where can be found a decent pic of the nose art of Hell's
Angel?? TIA Hell's Angels #41-24577 B-17F 358BS (VK-D) Go to the 303rd BG website. They have a whole section just on nose art. The nose art on "Hell's Angels" evolved, and you can see several different pics on the 303rd site. http://www.303rdbga.com/index.shtml There was at least one other Fortress named "Hell's Angels", but I disremember the unit. disremember the unit. Walt That hit the spot! Thanks Walt! You're quite welcome. You can still get a Minicraft/Hasegawa model in 1/72 scale of "Hell's Angels." Hells Angels flew 25 raids at the worst time of the campaign and was never hit by a bullet. The 303rd BG was something of an elite unit. IIRC, 25 of the 36 original crews fihished their tours successfully. Walt |
