Default What is this plane?

I saw a plane and am trying to determine if it is actually a real
plane and if so what it is.

I parked at FastTrack parking on Airport Road in Houston to take a
flight out of Hobby. Next door there is a plane currently being
repaired that unfortunately does not currently have an empennage (so
no tail number). This plane is a private jet with rather sizable
underwing fuel tanks and appears to have two sets of side by side
turbofan engines mounted just forward of the tail for a total of 4
engines. From the front this plane looks like ooOoo. The engines
themselves have been removed so the engine mountings are all that are
currently there. The plane has 6 passenger windows on each side. I
took some pictures with my camera phone and if I don't get an answer
I'll put them online.

Any ideas on what this plane is?

TIA

I hope the description is clear about the engines. The white painted
shells normally seen around engines are present, only the inside
turbine parts are missing so what is visible looks like two tubes
attached together.

Answering my own question...

This plane appears to be a Lockheed Jetstar II and the window count is
5, not six.

Thanks for responding. I had never seen a plane with engines side by
side like that save the fast movers like the T-38/F-5, F-14, etc. and
those are all fuselage mounted rather than hung outside the body. I
definitely learned something new today.

There's one based at my airport in CT. IIRC there's only about 50 or
so of them left flying.

They are carrying 4 turbojet, as opposed to turbofan, engines so not
only does it use noisy engines but it uses 4 of them concurrently. My
guess is that it would sound like a fighter plane taking off.

Many, if not most of the original a/c were converted to use turbofan
engines, and all of the Jetstar II a/c were equipped with turbofans.
