I wanted to extend a big thanks to everyone at Cal City and Caracole
soaring for a successful wave day on Saturday. The front that pushed through southern California this weekend provided thermals to 9000' and wave as high as 24,000'. And from the sound of things on the radio, Warner Springs had a great wave day too. The work that has been put into getting the airspace reserved for the wave window paid off big time, having ATC grant clearance pretty much where ever you want to go up to FL270 without hesitation made flying as smooth as the wave! Here is the link to the 2 Diamond flights for the day on the OLC http://www3.onlinecontest.org/olc-2....ng/daily.html? st=olc&rt=olc&c=C0&sc=&df=2009-03-21&sp=2009&aa=CALIF1&filter I hope everyone else is having as much fun flying as we are!
