![]() And what is this suppose to be? Photoshop or otherwise? The mythical aurora? Close... but not photoshopped. Even if if could take off a flight deck, it would look like it would be dragging its ass if it tried to land on one. Bob, it was on a US carrier a couple months back, for a movie. Pretty good looking prop, if a bit far fetched. v/r Gordon ====(A+C==== USN SAR Its always better to lose -an- engine, not -the- engine. |

If it not a national security issue, what movie was it being used for? Its hard to tell from that angle, but it does look like it could be believable and fly. It look a lot cooler than the artist F22 or ATF planes that were in the magazines before the f22 and the stealth came out. Maybe the Skunk works is building props now. From the configuration of the wing appendages (which look more like trailing-edge flaps than leading-edge slats) and the positioning of the stars and bars on top, I'd think this craft has an aft-mounted wing with canards. Also reminds me of a few of those cockamamie Stavatti designs. Stephen "FPilot" Bierce/IPMS #35922 {Sig Quotes Removed on Request} |

If it not a national security issue, what movie was it being used for? Its for a movie called "Stealth" that comes out next year..plot sounds like Knight Rider with jet planes. The movie is "Stealth" and it comes out 7/29/05. The aircraft was filmed on the deck of the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln". The aircraft is a "Talon" controlled by AI pilot who gets out of control and starts to destroy stuff. Two other pilots are sent in to destroy the aircraft. Rob |

Close enough for a patent infringement lawsuit. And if the plot is about a warplane AI going berzerk, and I were a bigwig at NG, I would NOT be amused. |
