Just repeating 'war stories' from the F-105G guys... That would seem to be unlikely, as PACAF spec'd doppler sets for 'their' F-100Ds and Fs, dash -20s, specifically for overwater navigation out of range of TACAN. You could ID them by the presence of a small intake in the leading edge of the fin, just aft of where the fairing joins the fin proper. Guy |
