Filled the Mighty Grape with mogas at $1.64 per gallon yesterday.

Dunno what Avgas is running here now -- but we're heading to Sun N Fun
tomorrow, so I suspect I'll be paying a bit more to top 'er off tomorrow
night...

Planes have been headed down the coast all week. Saw a SeaBee headed south on
Wednesday. At the rate he was going, he might get there before it closes. :-)

This marriage is off to a shaky start. The groom just asked the band to
play "Your cheatin' heart", and the bride just requested "Don't come home
a'drinkin' with lovin' on your mind".

After replacing your catalytic converter you won't save anything.

On a modern car, you'll also wipe out the O2 sensor very quickly.

Back in the early 90s, I owned a Merc convertible with a high
compression 429ci V-8 that had to have at least 99 octane mogas to
avoid knocking. At the same time, I owned a '59 172 with an O-300
that absolutely hated being run on avgas. Lots of lead fouling and
gummed up valves. My solution turned out to be quite easy. I ran
the 172 on 87 octane unleaded car gas and the Merc ran 100LL avgas.
Both were quite happy with the change.

As for prices, yesterday I came up dead even. $2.12/gal for both
avgas and mid-grade car gas.

St James, MN - JYG is $2.49 for 100LL and $1.79 for autogas. City card
required for fuel. They're out of autogas at the moment. :-(
Current price in town for 87 autogas or alcohol-gas is $1.759.
