I found the ASA Prepware for the Instrument Rating to be the biggest waste of $75 I've done in a long time. They didn't even manage to get there stupid help file to work right (never a good sign). The online figure viewer is completely worthless. Gleim got it right. I've got several of their test preps. |

(mike, if you want the asa, you can have mine for shipping, just let me know) g_a |

That was all that I had so I really can't compare to anything else, but it worked fine for me. Maybe ASA Prepware isn't consistent between different ratings or something? If I was the OP, I would jump on GA's offer! That's cheap even if it's not the best program! Chuck |

I am using both the ASA Prepware and the King Schools tapes (John still
teaches the equal transit theory of lift). The ASA Prepware is pretty good. |

I am doing it soley to improve myself I don't anticipate an insurance
break. The insurance company requires simulator training and to pass that training you have to fly to ATP standards. Mike MU-2 "Ben Jackson" wrote in message news:POAjb.573382$cF.246396@rwcrnsc53... Mike,
I've used Dauntless Software's Ground School software for my Commercial, CFI, AGI, and IGI tests and like it better than the Gleim software. You can test yourself on specific subjects as well as the whole test just like with Gleim, but the Dauntless program let's you view and manipulate the FAA figures in the same window as the test question, the last Gleim program I used wouldn't let me zoom or move the figure in the same window as the question. Dauntless also has a method of testing yourself on what they think are the hardest questions. Dauntless has several different and additional "Test and Practice" modes than Gleim. I see they have a version for the 135ATP and the 121ATP. I'd highly recommend it. You can download the sample version or the full version at FAATest.com. It's worth a look. I believe they also give a discount for subsequent purchases. -- Jim Burns III Remove "nospam" to reply "Mike Rapoport" wrote in message ink.net... Thanks for all the replies. There certainly is a diversity of opinion here
over Gleim vs. ASA! I'm going to try the Dauntless product. Thanks again! Mike MU-2 |
