Pilots are safe drivers

I saw recently on the disovery channel that the 3rd safest group of drivers
by occupation are pilot. Just thought I'd share with you guys

So what you meant to write in your subject line are "commercially employed
pilots are safe drivers".

Yes, hence the word occupation in the paragraph.....

I think as a pilot safety gets drilled into you; not taking stupid chances,
thinking ahead, etc. I really noticed that I became a more careful driver
after I started taking flying lessons. It just kind of carries over.

I noticed that, too. After every lesson, my head was "on a swivel" for
the drive home.

Enhancing situational awareness is *always* a good thing. Especially
when you have four children all under the age of nine...

I pretty much always planned out trips (by car) calculated milage, made
ETA/ATA checks, etc. After taking flight lessons I had to REALLY fight
not to drive down the center line on the road after lessons
