Nah! I was on that flight and I remember the flight attendant in the back
bragging about how they had won a lawsuit against the airline for weight
discrimination.
This particular attendant was seated in the rear jumpseat when we landed.

It was a test of a new version of that airplane. Test for maximum rate of
decent when landing. I think he hit at 600 ft/minute vertical velocity.

10 fps at maximum landing weight and 6 fps at

This was on AVweb today. They said he came down at nearly 700 fpm. The
flight engineer broke his ankle.

I read that it was a test flight... Testing hard landings or something,
which it looks like he did alright!
