Hi all,
OK, this is going to sound really stupid at first, but bear me with me for a second. Just came back from the Great Lakes Aviation Conference (which was great BTW, as usual), and was pleased to see a lot of young faces in the audience, a fair number of them women. So that got me thinking: I for one (I'm 26) have had trouble finding members of the opposite sex who share my interests, one of the big ones being flying. So I thought to myself, with friend-finding and dating all going digital, wouldn't it be neat if we had a website where aviation enthusiasts could post ads, their locations and their preferences for dating or just plain flying buddy finding purposes? How does that sound? Does it sound *really* stupid or just sorta kinda out there? Comments welcome. I work in the IT field so it wouldn't be too much trouble for me to come up with a prototype, not to say that outside help isn't welcome. If I'm late to the party and something like this exists already, please advise. :-) - Slav Inger - PP ASEL IA @ YIP |

Go for it! I hope you meet someone nice (and she is a pilot, too)!
That way you will have a continual "discussion" about who is PIC! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Jer/ In rec.aviation.student Slav Inger wrote: Hi all, OK, this is going to sound really stupid at first, but bear me with me for a second. I could just see some of the ad copy now...
"Seeking partner for 1 NM vertical flying club" "Baggage compartment must be empty" "No long range tanks" "Those with short pitot tubes need not apply" And of course all will end with... "Please send picture of airplane". |

![]() I read a "statistic" years ago, that stated that most accidents in which a woman was a passenger and the pilot a man, the two were not married. |

My story:
1. Go to college Valentine's day dance. 2. Brag about how you built an FM tuner. 3. Find out she already has a ham radio license. 4. Brag about how you soloed in a 7ac Champ in 11 hours in high school. 5. Find out she already soloed a 7ac Champ in 7 hours in high school. Oh, I almost forgot. This was the second meeting. The first was when she was climbing out of a PT22 and you saw her at an airport on a family trip. It happens. She's in the other room. 43 years later. In article , wrote: 1. Go to Oshkosh. 2.
