I based at Rand for a year working for Avex Air and Astra Helicopters. Do you remember the Radio HiVeldt with Ollie doing the traffic reports? I was one of the first pilots to fly him around Jo'berg. Also worked in Moz and Rhodesia back in the early 70's. Got to visit many parts of all three countries and lots of time in the bush. Wonderful time in my life...even during the civil wars and bullets flying (heh heh). I hope your fly-in is a huge success. Cheers btw-my license plate reads VOETSOK
