I'm personally thankful that we're not providing "no-fly zones" over
candidates, yet. It's to Kerry's credit that he hasn't requested this
treatment -- it's bad enough we have to do it over the president.

There most certainly was a TFR over Boston last week. When has the
convention not been part of the campaign?

Oh heck, Dan. Most of the anti-Bush crowd ran off the edge years ago. Let's
face it: they think that it is reasonable to promote a conspiracy theory
where Bush (who is alleged to be stupid and unable to cooperate with world
leaders) conspired with the Saudi Royal family and Osama bin Laden (who hate
each other) to fabricate terrorist attacks on the United States just so they
could invade Afghanistan and Iraq in order to seize control of a
non-existent pipeline that would benefit them in no way whatsoever, and that
Bush (who is supposed to be stupid) successfully fooled Kerry (who is
supposed to be smart) into supporting this scheme. They apologize for
terrorist attacks, saying that the terrorists have every reason in the world
to do what they do, but that nevertheless all those attacks are being faked
by the White House.

What is scary is that supposedly educated people think this way. It tells me
that they are capable of saying or doing almost anything in order to seize
power and hold it and that they justify their actions by saying that
everybody else is just like them. The inmates took over the European asylum
long ago, with predictable results. Now the loony left threatens to triumph
here. And the even more scary thing is that this may well be the lesser of
two evils. I fear that democracy and freedom are at an end no matter who
wins the election.

Why don't you ask McCain? He seems to get along with Kerry just fine.

Birds of a feather. McCain (as in McCain-Feingold) is one of the biggest
fascists in the Senate. Not likely he's going to be re-elected after this
term.

KBED was quite busy. But it was mostly jet traffic.

Probably depends on how many women and children I had been forced to kill.

Not really. You've indicated that Bush has been honest in literal
interpretation if not in implication. That Bush cites the actions of our
enemies as grounds for attack while ignoring those same actions on the part
of our putative allies is more of the same.

BTW, any parent is familiar with this:

Parent: You've not been doing the dishes
Child: I did the dishes once.

The reality, though, remains the same. The child has not been doing the
dishes with the necessary consistency, and Bush's actions in Iraq have left
nations like N. Korea and Iran freer than they'd otherwise be because he
expended lives and respectibility on the wrong enemy.

We don't even need to consider the more complex cases of what's going on
today w/in Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.

You have to learn to put in a charge, such as "this person said this" or
"that person said that".

All I have heard about this topic is that someone asked Bush if he had
"asked for help getting into the Guard". Bush replied "no".

I myself have been the beneficiary of various types of assistance that I did
not ask for. I know how it works.

You have to ask Bush if he RECEIVED any help if you want to get a valid
answer. And were he to be asked about any help he might have received, I
would hope he would be truthful.

But frankly, I don't care whether he got any help or not. For several months
in 1967 I kept $800.00 in a savings account. It stayed there until I failed
my draft physical. It cost $800.00 to get in the Guard back then.
