Blueprints needed

Working on a C1 airframe, how does one go about getting Blueprints of older AC.
Also what format do they come in?

What's a C1? The Smithsonian has a large collection, but from what I
understand they are very reluctant to let you see them if they think
you're going to try to build a flyable aircraft. There was a
discussion of this topic here a couple of months back IIRC - try
searching the archives.
