Default LXNAV V3 speaker volume too low

Our club just purchased a couple of V3s for our club single seat gliders and while the vario is great, the internal speaker volume is so low that it can't be heard over the cockpit noise in a G-102. Tried hooking up an external powered speaker and it was nice and loud. Same problem with both units..

Has anyone else had this problem with the V3?

My V3, with only the internal speaker, is very loud in my SZD-55; but, the rear of the panel is open...

I can hear my V3 with its internal speaker in the Discus 2, but an external speaker is much better. There are lots of adjustments for its volume and frequency, so make sure that you get it set up to your taste first.

The frequency setup is pretty cool. Easily matched it to the CNv.
