Need to LEASE a Blanik

The Club: Greater Houston Soaring Assoc.

Situation: our club has 2 Blaniks in our basic training fleet. One L-13 and
one L-23 Super. BOTH now have damaged wheel and gear boxes. One let go last
week in a hard landing, the other flunked an inspection this week. BOTH are
now lost for at least 4-6 months. Geeeeez...

This is going to put a hit on our students and we need to find either an
L-13 or L-23 that an owner would be willing to lease to our club for 6
months.

If you have either aircraft--in license, with papers, airworthy, sitting
around and not making you money...and in the U.S.--we need to talk and see
if we can work out a deal.

We might entertain an option to buy, but our funds and loans are now all
tied up in the repair of the two damaged ships and the purchase of a new tow
plane.

What are the chances that the leased Blanik will suffer the same fate? Does
the lease time include the down time when the same pilot flairs the leased
Blanik 5 feet below the pavement?
