Obviously, you guys aren't paying attention. She said, flux "capacitator" not "capacitor". (This is consistent with the flat tires clearly visible in the video.) While they sound similar, they are two entirely different things. This is how rumors get started. ;-)

'flux capacitator' is quite difficult to find, especially when the search
engine silently changes 'flux capacitor' to 'flux capacitator' and the
first dictionaries queried for 'capacitator' all returned their
'capacitor' entry.

Last but not least, are you sure that wasn't a mispronunciation by the
reporter in the referenced clip? People do slip in extra syllables,
especially when they don't fully understand what they're talking about.

The flux capacitator was not the issue in that accident. More likely the turbo encabulator failed on approach.

Yeah, that was my initial assessment as well. People frequently jump right to the flux capacitor because it's such an easy answer what with all the failures in the early Cessna P210s.
