says... "Everybody look busy; this color film ain't cheap..." ....so what's the deal with the dude in the middle wearing the cowboy boots and Levis?...looks like he's pushing the prop in the opposite direction of the guy in the overalls. ....the whole thing looks auspicious to me! * |

FWIW --- The Library of Congress "Taken circa 1939" -marley1027 Looks like they are rotating the propeller. That is commonly done with radial engines prior to flight. The purpose it to prevent damage to the engine from hydra locking, a condition caused by oil collecting in the lower cylinders. Dave -curtissfortysix And then they discovered why all the rods were getting bent and failed.
