http://www.oig.dot.gov/item_details.php?item=474 http://www.angelflight.org/articles/af00_010e.html Google "airman medical" and convicted felon and misdemeanors and form 8500-8 and whatever else strikes you while you're squirming. The point is, what do non-traffic, non-drug, and/or non-alcohol misdemeanors have to do with an airman medical certificate? If an airman was convicted in his youth of common law affray, wth does that have to do with an airman medical? Regarding one of those links above the article is written by the federal air surgeon, who is degreed in medicine and in law. Boys, does he ever strain logic and reason. I can understand them going after the druggies and the alkies, but the simple misdemeanants too? It doesn't make any sense except in the context of an omnipotent, power-hungry big brother who has gotten too big for his britches and ought to be taken out behind the barn to the woodpile. |
