Anyone done this before out there in radio land?
I have a deal going down with a group in NL that want to buy a glider I own. What are the paperwork issues I need to be aware of when doing an export sale? Thanks Al |

Thanks Al The Netherlands authorities will probably need an 'Export Certificate of Airworthiness' and proof of deregistration in the US. I suspect that somewhere along the line VAT is going to become due. This is payable at the rate effective at the first point of entry to the EU. There is a minor problem with import to the UK at the moment since we are changing over to the EU way of doing things and 2005 is a 'transition year' in other words the authorities ( BGA and CAA ) are not really 100% sure of the requirements.
