Is it possible to use cities as waypoints in flight plan and how?
The only way I can make a city as a waypoint is by using panning function on the map - point to the city and then press "direct to" key. Or it is some kind of safety feature - not to alloud to use cities as waypoints? THNX |

An aviation waypoint or user waypoint is what can be inserted into a flight plan or direct-to waypoint. |

I don't know of any reason why you can't use cities in a flight plan, but you would have to specify them as LAT-LONG values, because I suspect that they are not in the ATC database either. I think, but I don't remember how, that when you create a user waypoint, the 430 will give you the LAT-LONG values. I didn't check any of this, so I could be completely off base. Brad |

DBn,
Yes they are, I can see them on the map and even use them by direct to function! They are on the map, not in the database. -- Thomas Borchert (EDDH) |
