Qualifying Grand Prix - Call for bids
IGC has issued a call for bids to host a Qualifying Grand Prix in the 2008-2009 competition period. Here is the link to SSA's news, which has all the info, including site selection requirements and application form. http://ssa.org/myhome.asp?mbr=678981...ow=blog&id=985 I sure hope that one of the US sites that make the criteria laid out applies and gets accepted. I'm sure I was not alone in my disappoint when the Eli gig fell through, and it now appears the US has another chance to participate in this exiting new form of sailplane racing. Eric Mozer or Rick Sheppe are sited as the goto guys to provide more info than the SSA provides. If there's anything I can do to help this process...
