![]() There is one at the museum in Chico, California, if that is what you were wondering There is also one that fly or flew out of Bardstown airport in KY. -- According to an An-2 owner's website, there are 56 An-2s on the U.S. registry. I think the poster's point was about the inter-war U.S. colors painted on the Polish-registered An-2 in his photo. More of the same aircraft he http://www.airfoto.pl/?module=Photos...e=id_mo&SID = 6f7f4dd013a37a57b8e18862bb02582c A quick search of the FAA database today (www.faa.gov) resulted in 21 AN-2s 18 AN-2, 2 AN-2R, and 1 AN-2T. I used "Antonov" and "AN-2" for one search and "Antonov" and "AN2" and got the same results. Leaving the manufacture field blank and just searching on AN-2 yeilded 46 hits. 19 of these were a PZL-Mielec AN-2, 1 listed as a "World Jet Inc - Anton AN-2, 5 listed as WSK-Mielec AN-2, and 1 listed as WSK PZL-Mielec AN- 2. The other hits were NOT AN-2's. Adding the two together totals 44 AN-2 on the US registry. -- Marty Shapiro Silicon Rallye Inc. (remove SPAMNOT to email me) |

It was an impressive looking aircraft. -- |

This one belonged to the Commemorative Air Force, and flew into the
Hawthorne Ca. Air Fair in 2004. Northrop also owned one for a short period of time (This may be it, but, I'm not sure.) It was painted silver overall. Ron "fox" wrote in message ... fox |
