Flying car. Bah. It's a power parachute. Instead of the normal PP
"fuselage" they are using a dune buggy. I guess if they get stuck in the middle of nowhere, or the chute breaks, they can still drive their way home. |

Found this news item through my ISP: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090114/...n_flying_car_1 Story keeps changing. The first report I saw: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/01...ing_car_exped/ said it would fly over the Pyrenees and the Gibraltar Strait and drive the rest of the way - now the Atlas Mountains and chunks of the Sahara seem to have have got into the act. The car seems to have changed too. The one in the first story had what looks like a glassfibre shell and windscreen while the Yahoo photo looks like a COTS dunebuggy. -- martin@ | Martin Gregorie gregorie. | Essex, UK org | |
