Region 10 South Report: Day 4
After two boomin' dynamic days we had a little more of a challenge
today. Slightly slower speeds, some choppy lift down low, but everyone save one got around the course. Check the results on the SSA contest page for Region 10. Everyone is really enjoying Brenham... the town and the airport. The Southern Flyer Cafe is a hit... especially the "poodle girls"... waitresses dressed to the 50's. Great burgers, entrees and milk shakes. I saw more 6-8kt lift to 6,000-plus. But some blue holes to navigate around. Weather up the road looks good. The competitors who've come from afar... Kansas, Ohio and South Carolina, are getting their licks in and lovin' our big roarin' thermals and cloud streets. More to come...we're really havin' fun! Bob de Leon Contest Manager
