Hi All - 25 years after I designed the core hardware,
and 23+ years after Rudy Mozer received the first unit (now in Steve's museum), firmware release v2.47 is available. Details and download he http://www.nadler.com/sn10/SN10_Resource_Index.html Enjoy, Best Regards, Dave PS: Please note, contrary to release notes: John Leibacher hasn't yet got all the NDB on WWTPX rebuilt to include correct MOA classification. He's been extremely busy and hopes to get to it shortly. Thanks again to John for all his efforts! |

And many of us have enjoyed accurate winds and everything we need and want in an airborne computer, for 25

I recall you were testing a version of it at Uvalde in '89? -- Eric Greenwell - Washington State, USA (change ".netto" to ".us" to email me) - "A Guide to Self-Launching Sailplane Operation" https://sites.google.com/site/motorg...ad-the-guide-1 |

I recall you were testing a version of it at Uvalde in '89? I guess we're getting pretty old... Uvalde 1989 was test of the proof-of-concept machine, which was so large it occupied most of the space where my right foot needed to be. So only left turns for YO during that contest. Still have that machine in the basement somewhere. It was the first integrated vario+flight computer with many things we now take for granted: a database of turnpoints, use of vector wind in all calculations, accurate vector wind measurement, complete task planning including time management, final glide around turnpoints, alternate landing spot location and final glide, etc... That machine ran the OS I wrote which still powers the SN10. Maybe I should dust it off and try fire it up one of these days. See ya, Dave |
