The Lightspeed 3G series are the only headsets that I've found where you can
plug in a mobile phone. Anyone aware of any others? Thanks, Ross "Duane MacInnis" wrote in message news:ZHgfb.7770$%P2.5399@edtnps84... I followed the posts about Lightspeed selling pretty good equipment, and most importantly, standing behind their products when they have problems. I was particularly impressed with Jay Honeck's reports (hi Jay) about his Oshkosh experience. So, as a treat to myself I recently bought a 30/3G for my "new" Cheetah. Last week, like an idiot, I lost the phone patch cord. I called Lightspeed yesterday to get a new one. After explaining the situation, giving my address, etc, I then offered my card number for payment. Without hesitation she says, "Nah, that's OK, we'll just send you a new one..." Just amazing. What do you do with guys like that. Duane ++++++++++++++ Duane MacInnis PE Flight Instructor Cell (604) 454-7415 www.macinnisaviation.com Grumman Cheetah C-GVJF |

All I've read about is how much they break. They'd better have good customer
service of they'd go out of business. Trip In article . net, says... "TripFarmer" wrote in message ... Must have a high markup on the item......... Trip Nah... I would call it good customer service. Just think, they may lose a few dollars on this incident, but because they treated him well, he told others about it and I will bet you a dollar someone that sees his post will remember this and buy something from them because of the good customer service that he was given. Loose a dime now, make a dollar from it later... |

The market is very competitive. I even asked Pilot if I bought a used set
from someone fro the back seat what woudl happen if I needed them fixed down the road and they said to just send them in.....n/c. Trip In article m, says... "Chuck" wrote in message link.net... Loose a dime now, make a dollar from it later... With all the problems Lightspeed has had I am sticking with my DCs for the foreseeable future. Good customer service is to be expected and shouldn't be looked upon as an anomaly. |

I agree! Bose hurt my ears and are uncomfortable after an hour.
I've flown 8 hours (with a one hour break in the middle) with my Lightspeeds, and my ears were fine. Of course this disclaimer applies: "Your ears (mileage) may vary." Max T, MCFI After my 3 hours flying, I had a slight fatigue headache/tension, which I attribute to the difference in the Bose headset - I can and have flown for 6 hour legs with the Lightspeeds and never felt that way. |

Hankal,
Have you ever had a problem with squelch noise when you use two different makes of headsets. that problem is caused by the intercom, not the headsets. Headset microphones vary. A decent intercom should and will take care of that. Mayn people cheap out on intercoms - and get what they pay for. Jay mentioned the magic words: "PS Engineering". -- Thomas Borchert (EDDH) |
