I have had someone recently tell me that they fly a bell md 750 and a agusta
hpr45 anyone ever heard of these? I am wondering if the guy gave the N numbers instead of models. Thanks |

Well, let's see...
Anything is possible since every heli manufacturer seems to be in bed with another these days, but the MD designation should be for McDonnel Douglas birds (500, 600, 900 Series, etc.). Bell is using 400-series numbers for its new birds and of course 200 series for the older ones. If you look at this link: http://www.idds.org/acr2003/707e4CAR02.html there is some reference to the Agusta in a foreign military designation of R45, but that is a bit of a stretch. Of course maybe your guy was talking about remote control (toy) aircraft, they have all sorts of designations.
