Hi
Can anyone recommend a good wax polish? Back in the UK we had a good product called Mur but I don't seem to be able to find it over here in the US. Can anyone help? Thanks Claire |

I'm pleased with the results of WxBlock/WxSeal, sold
by Tim Mara of www.wingsandwheels.com Others will probably say the hard wax is the ONLY way to go. I can't argue. But since I don't have the type of powered polisher necessary to apply the hard wax, I'll go with the stuff that can be applied by hand. Also, since I have about eight thumbs per hand, I'd probably rip chunks of the trailing edge off with the power buffer. The WxSeal/WxBlock can also be applied by a power buffer, but as I stated above, I don't have one. I'm just thankful the wings aren't a millimeter longer than 15 metres when I'm polishing them! Per the movie 'Karate Kid': Wax On; Wax Off! Oh, my sore arms! When you're through, make sure you're looking at the bird through good sunglasses! I bought a cheap buffer from Wally World and found the added weight and hassle of the buffer was more work than cleaning and waxing by hand. Beautiful results. Shawn |
