Scimitar props aka almost constant speed props.
Hartzell makes a "scimitar". Not what most of the EAA thinks of as scimitar. Scimitars allowed a climb propellor to perform both roles of climb and cruise with a lower noise gradient. Ted Hedrickson used to make some. Most are made by the builder. As far as URL's, none that I know of. Not to say they aren't out there, but I didn't go looking through google. There was a Vari-EZE or Long-EZ that had one on it. Dan Diehl also was involved with some research. Rick Philippe wrote: Hello, Who made scimitar prop today? Whitch gain may I expect for a cruise prop vs a standard wood prop? Any urls? Thanks -- Philippe Vessaire Ò¿Ó¬ |
