It appears as I would have to cross the warm front to get from Ohio to
Iowa Saturday, so I don't think the party is going to happen for me. On the positive side, the weather will move off to the east of Wisconsin by Sunday morning and the party participants will have excellent tailwinds to the big show. |

Ha! Yeah, crap. I was sitting in a 3-man tent for that four-hour gully-washer this morning. 1/2 inch hail and the whole nine yards, down in Prairie du Chein where we were camping... It did the same thing yesterday morning, on a smaller scale, and then climbed up near 100 degrees to give us that wonderful high humidity-high temperature combo. The drought is over! Hey Jay...
Those "dorm rooms" attached to your hotel ... they weren't used for the same purposes that a lot of Nevada hotels have attached "dorm rooms", were they? Jim |

Different tent. The tent for OSH is what we call "God's Own Tent" -- it's the biggest one we could find when we found ours wrapped around our starboard wing two years ago. The one for motorcycle camping is an old, hand-made (in America!) 3-man Moss tent. I paid something stupid, like $400 for it in the 1980s -- but it's STILL waterproof and can stand up to any weather. It'll probably out-last me. -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

Those "dorm rooms" attached to your hotel ... they weren't used for the
same purposes that a lot of Nevada hotels have attached "dorm rooms", were they? Heh. Nope. The building was purpose-built as a dorm (remember, the University of Iowa is here) the same year the hotel was built. It was meant to be temporary, but is still there, 20 years later. We intend to tear it down in a year or two, but -- for now -- it's perfect for any "overflow" guests we might have... Fly safe tomorrow, Jim. We'll expect to see you Saturday afternoon sometime? -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

It has been doing that here, for weeks, it seems. The dewpoint has been in the mid 70's almost every day, with temps in the low to mid 90's. Can you say sweat? -- Jim in NC |
